Louise and James welcomed their people to New York City with the kind of evening that felt both elevated and deeply relaxed. With beautiful views, candlelit tables, champagne in hand, and the quiet joy of everyone finally being together.
There is something we love about photographing a welcome dinner. It’s a little softer. A little slower. Full of anticipation, familiar voices, first hugs, and the small moments that begin to tell the story of the wedding weekend.
For Louise and James, this night felt like the perfect opening chapter. Elegant, intimate, full of movement and laughter, and so reflective of the way they make people feel at ease around them.

Before guests arrived, we took about ten quiet minutes with Louise and James, just the two of them, tucked into the calm before the evening began.
Louise and James’ style felt timeless.
The white suit, the soft blue, the city views, the florals, the textures, it all had this effortless New York elegance.
The kind of joy that fills the whole room.
The space at Kanopi made the evening feel suspended above the Hudson Valley.
Set inside The Penthouse Event Space atop The Opus, Westchester, the room was filled with soft light, sweeping views, and this quiet sense of arrival. It gave Louise and James’ welcome dinner such an elegant backdrop, refined, open, and intimate all at once.
The florals by SEASONS | Weddings & Special Events brought such a soft, graceful texture to the room.
