The wild beauty of the North Cascades in Washington absolutely blows my mind in autumn. The stunning fall color paired with the sheer scale of the scenery in every direction makes it almost overwhelmingly beautiful. I always feel so incredibly alive whenever I am there and so lucky to get to experience it myself and share that magic with people and their dogs.

Jessica and her German Shepherds, Nikka and Bear, spend so much of their lives outside together, but she didn't have many photos of them all together. So we hiked for many miles along the trails we mostly had all to ourselves, taking in the glorious scenery and making photos for her that feel as beautiful as all the memories they have made together.

I know that she will always have countless memories to return to- all the incredible places, the adventures, the little details that make Nikka and Bear who they are. But these photos of them together in such a spectacular place and during this chapter of their lives, will let her revisit these moments again and again and remember them just how it felt to be there together.

I love when couples celebrate their wedding anniversaries with a photo session that also features their dogs- it's such a perfect way to both honor their love for each other and their love for their other favorite beings ❤️

Madison and Chris have been married for 10 years, so an extra special adventure was in order to celebrate a decade of love with the pups that made them a family - Winnie and Murphy 🥰

Here's to a lifetime of amazing adventures together and with the dogs who make it extra fun 🥂

Every adventure with Alix and her one eyed wonder pup, Stout, is always such a delight 🤩 This one was extra special though because they were celebrating 10 years of being together! Stout's ears kept flying up in the wind as if they were celebrating right along with us 🎉

I absolutely love the way Alix adores every single glorious detail about Stout- they have the sweetest bond and getting to photograph them together is just pure joy.

Pacific City was such a perfect place for Stout to stand out against the golden rocks, which feel so different than the beaches farther north on the Oregon Coast. They spent a couple nights in this gorgeous spot, rolling the fun of the session into a longer adventure with plenty of extra frolicking on the beach.

They may still be finding sand in their things, and of course, so am I 😂 I love the little reminders of the big fun that was had at the beach celebrating these two 💯 Happy 10 years with Stout, Alix Maylie!

What a spectacular evening 🤩

It was magical from the beginning, then *kind of frightening* with an unexpected storm, then straight back to magical again. Mind you, I had checked the weather report 57 times in the morning, and it had shown clear weather every single time! 😅

On the drive to the lake I stopped for a family of 5 deer to cross the road, including 3 fawns. So sweet! By the time I arrived, a storm was rolling in with lightning strikes in the distance. Although unnerving, it was quite cinematic. I thought we would actually avoid the storm. Alas 😂

I got to meet this absolutely gorgeous Dalmatian named Noble, and I was SO excited to get to photograph with Tarin. We got to shoot for only 5 minutes before the apocalyptic storm unleashed its fury, only to give way to the most beautiful conditions 45 minutes later- fog drifting across the lake, a rainbow, and lightning illuminating the pink clouds in the distance. There was also cinematic fog shrouding the roads on the drive back for good measure ✨

I love Oregon. Sigh. And I love Dalmatians, mountains, photography, taking chances, and generally being just very chalant 💯

If you have ever wondered how to do a photo session with both your dogs and your indoor cats, this is a great example! First of all, it was so awesome to get to do a photo session in my tiny hometown of Prineville, Oregon- a rare event. We met right in the fields behind where my parents live, which was the shortest commute for a session I have ever had 😂

Our sunrise session with Moose and Fitz was so fun, and then we headed to their home right after for a grand finale with the kitties. Peeves and Pixie are Cornish Rex cats- they have the most interesting fur texture and curly whiskers! Also, speaking of grand finales, Pixie blew my mind with her pizzaz and how insanely high she can jump. I haven't gotten to photograph cats for quite a while and they both certainly made up for it with their amazing personalities!

Between the sunrise zoomies and the cat acrobatics, I'd say it was a pretty perfect way to spend a morning 😻

On a stormy day in the Italian Dolomites, I got to frolic in the fields with my brother and his delightful golden retriever 😍

I had to wait so long to get to visit him in Italy, and we packed in an absurd amount of fun into just a couple days, including an unforgettable day wandering the narrow alleys in Venice.

Although we had planned to spend one more day in the Dolomites, the sky started to dump rain dramatically at the end of our photo adventure here, so we changed plans. I'm so grateful we managed to thread the needle with the weather and I finally got to photograph these two 🎉 The amazing dinner and Amarone afterwards was the icing on the cake.

Clearly I will be going back to Italy and hopefully sooner rather than later! I barely scratched the surface of all the gorgeousness I want to see in this stunner of a country.

Clearly there is a theme going on with these pups 😍 Dexter, Riggins, and Beacon, of triangular eared glory and matching colors, totally won me over on this warm summer morning. Brittany and Grant had just gotten the smallest one, Beacon, just a couple weeks before and he clearly completed the pup trifecta beautifully 💯 Their personalities are just as adorable as their matching ears.

Included in the last photo is Sadie, their sweet dog that crossed the rainbow bridge last year. Her memorial tattoo on Brittany's arm is so beautiful and I'm so happy we were still able to include her somehow 🥺

Fluffy wonder Chaya 😍

You'll see photos from Austria probably for the next year, I have so many 😂 I'm editing them slowly out of necessity, and each time I get to remember all the amazing parts of each day with Anne ~ Dogphotographer at her retreat. For this shoot, we walked through the most charming little area in the country to get to this waterfall and I was smitten by all the houses with their flower boxes and beautiful traditional design. These houses are actually just rather amazingly typical in this area, but each one dazzled me.

To then get to photograph this sweet marshmallow Chaya with the cutest head tilt (last photo) it was just photography bliss!

When you have 5 dogs and a gorgeous large property of your own, it makes so much sense to have your photo session right at home! It was so fun to explore all the different areas of their land with Lucy, Mabel, Dixie, Maggie, and Lexi- the pups who clearly have a color scheme going 😂👏

We also got a grand finale photo with some of their fuzzy baby ducks, which I will never get over! 🤩

Cannon Beach holds such amazing memories for so many people, so it was exactly the perfect spot for Laura and Riddy to make some more of their own together.

Of course Riddy had many admirers on the beach too, and while it may look like we this glorious stretch of sand all to ourselves- there were actually quite a few people who had to be edited out of some of these photos😂

The thing is though, when you are with the beings you love the most, it really does sometimes feel like you're in your own little magical world with everything else falling away.

I think that's one of the best things about having photos like this with your dog is that they hold on to that precious feeling ❤️
