4th of July, Independence Day. Somehow I always end up reflecting on my personal independence journey of the past 6 1/2 years since I moved to the United States for my pet photography business.
I picked one of the horse sessions I started doing in the past year because there is something very powerful about a horse running forward, full of power, there is a reason why we call Car power horsepower.
Life is about Joy, fulfilling dreams, but the fun is in the journey. Remember things don’t happen to you, they happen for you. In each event, there is a lesson for our growth, pushing us to fulfill our dreams and live in joy.
These photos were taken last October on the first photo tour me and my partner Kseny Duke put together for PET photographers. For five days, we traveled the beautiful nature in Oregon. On the last day on the coast we woke up in the morning in Cannon Beach for a session with this beautiful horse, Oreo and his 2 dog siblings 🐶🐶
The weather was very windy and Misty and Blanch, Oreos owner called me and said “there is a crazy wind” so I asked her if she thinks we should cancel and she said “ no it’s fine. Just wanted you to know.” 😆 watch the videos at the end of this carousel and you will see that amazing beautiful wind that had the sand on the beach dancing for us.

I had an idea of what I wanted, but this has gone beyond my wildest expectations. Yes, I’m the type of person that runs forward all the time, no matter what happens, and that is what I try to teach my students as well. Forget about the drama go get the life you want to live.
I remember standing on the beach that day with tears in my eyes. Natures show that day was so powerful and beautiful. The women photographers traveling with us were amazing, a group full of love. I could really feel we were making people happy that day. I never thought I would be photographing horses, I never had any connection with any horses in my life. But then again before I started photographing Dogs I never had
