Ian Van Inwegen… G Prep senior. I met Ian a few years ago when his family signed up for a Fall mini session. And they’ve done multiple shoots since so I’ve gotten to watch him grow up a little bit! He’s the nicest guy. And he’s a runner. He loves cross country and running with his teammates. In fact he had ran through the location of our shoot with his buddies before so knew the area. But he did not know something many people don’t know about People’s Park… that it was a nudist colony in the 70’s. Everybody had their clothes on this day tho so that was nice! So fun with you Ian!

Calleigh Burgin… G Prep senior. This beauty woke up around 4am to get ready for her 6am shoot. And she was somehow smiley and chipper and giggly and soooooo sweet at the crack of dawn! I haven’t seen Calleigh for probably 13 years. I got to shoot her sweet family when her and her sister were little. Gosh I’m thankful for these families who have stuck with me. Thank you! Calleigh brought her mom, step mom, and dad to her shoot and all 3 of them were all over whatever she needed at an every moment. She has quite the squad! 💪 Calleigh loves her school! And I’ve come to realize that G Prep seems to be a very loved place. She even told me she isn’t involved in anything specific. But still loves it which I think says a lot. Calleigh you’re the sweetest and I’m so thankful I got to see you all growed up :)

Skyla Richards… Lakeside Senior. Skyla is so excited for her senior year. She’s going to play volleyball again and they have a new coach and she’s so ready to finish strong! She loves being outside with her friends and doing outside things. It’s no wonder… we live in the most beautiful paradise for the outdoors. This shoot was a quick 10 minute drive for each of us, right in the middle of our houses. Lakeside is so small so everyone knows everyone and you’re always right at home. I’m lucky because she’s tagging along next month to her friend’s senior shoot so I’ll get to see her again! Skyla you’re a doll!

Peyton Tawney… Mt Spokane senior. We’ve been excited for this shoot for years! I graduated high school with her mom and she is friends with my son so we’ve gotten to meet many times over the years. Peyton loves taking pictures like I do and is such a natural behind the camera. I basically just stood there and watched her do her thing :) She is a gymnast and I wanted to make her do flips across the bridge where we were but decided to let her save herself for the gym 😜She had hip surgery but has been so diligent about her recovery and is back at it! She would love to be a college gymnast one day if it works out. I can’t wait to see! Peyton you’re the sweetest and our shoot was just as fun and amazing as I always knew it would be!

Carson Lewis… John Carroll Catholic School in ALABAMA! How lucky am I to get to shoot a guy from Alabama??? Ok not really FROM Alabama but that’s where he lives now. I met Carson when he was a little boy and we did a family shoot in Spokane. Now they’ve moved to Alabama and I’m so thankful they still do pics when they come back to Spokane. Carson is a football player. A quarterback. And he’s serious about his sport! In fact he was flying back to Alabama right after our shoot to get to practice. I cannot wait to see where he ends up playing after high school. His pup Cleo has come to many shoots and I was pretty pumped when she made an appearance for his senior pics. They’re buddies. Carson I’ve loved shooting you all these years. Have such a great senior year of school and football!

Teegan Carlson… U High Senior. Teegan is your classic country dude. He loves football, dirt bikes, camping, outdoors, and trucks. He brought his truck for his shoot which I loved! You can tell that thing is his buddy. 🛻 Teegan is kinda quiet but confident and kind. He brought his whole fam to his shoot and they added on a mini session which was so fun. We have mutual friend/clients so somehow I felt like I’ve known them for years. Teegan have a great senior year!!!

Carter Owens… Cheney Senior. What a nice kid! Carter has played baseball since he was little but broke his hand this year so unfortunately isn’t able to play club ball his senior summer. Ugh I hate injuries for these athletes. Carter plans to pursue criminal justice after high school. He’s wanted to be a police officer since he was 3. Between Cheney and Nine Mile, our families had 1 million mutual friends. Carter has the coolest most meaningful tattoo honoring his dad who passed away. He had the same tattoo. So so special. We made sure to get some pics of it. And everything else too. I think he changed shirts 47 times because his mom and I kept having so many great ideas using all the amazing things she brought in her Mary Poppins bag. What a sweet, sweet family! Can’t wait to hear where you end up Carter!

Ryan & Parker Gortsema… Mt Spokane seniors. Cannot believe these twins are graduating this year. I think I got to start taking their pics when they were about 4?!? They were tiny and rolling around Hillyard in these amazing custom race cars their dad built for them. It was such a cute shoot! Now they’re alllll growed up. Parker is in the Mt Spokane band. Ryan goes to New Tech and is studying construction. They both have their paths and they’re different but their solid brotherhood will always be there. We squeezed in a family mini shoot too so I got to spend a couple hours with all 4 of them. Thanks for letting me take your pics over all these years Gortsema’s!

Jake Layton… Ferris Senior. This guy is the 2026-2027 senior class president. And he’s so perfect for that role! Jake is confident and humble at the same time. He’s an athlete and plays football and wrestles. He’s also a camp counselor at Good Times Camp at Camp Reed, which is a summer camp for pediatric cancer patients. I can only imagine how those kids love him! Jake wants to go to a big college after high school to study kinesiology and go into sports therapy. He’s the youngest of three boys so will be the one to empty the nest and I can only imagine how that is going to break his mama’s heart. But Jake you have so much to offer this world, and watching you fly is going to be such joy for her! Can’t wait to see all you do senior year and beyond!
