Minimal magic strikes again 😂

Just a man on the side of the road in Africa absolutely committed to the bit.

Still one of my favorite photos from the trip.
Also… respectfully… the sign worked.

Truthfully, she probably has no idea how much this moment stayed with me.

There was something so beautiful about the way she saw herself.
Playful. Present. Completely herself.

A quiet reminder that joy doesn’t always arrive in grand moments.
Sometimes it’s found standing in front of a mirror, feeling beautiful, and asking for a Diet Coke. 🤍

The more time I spend in the in-between, the more I find myself drawn to things that feel real.

Not overdone.
Not performative.

Just honest moments, genuine love, and the kind of magic that doesn’t need to announce itself. 🤍

The photo may be blurry. The memory sure as hell isn't.

Green has always been my favorite color.

Which is honestly kind of funny considering I can still hear the words “green giant” from fifth grade rattling around in my brain.

The same year, a teacher stood me in front of the classroom next to someone half my size to explain how bodies grow differently.

At the time, it felt horrifying.
I wanted to disappear.

But somewhere along the way, green became something beautiful to me anyway.

Now it reminds me of growth.
Roots.
Life.
Curiosity.
Wildness.

Funny how we spend half our lives relearning the things we were once taught to fear.

Somewhere along the way, I stopped trying to make motherhood look untouched.

The older I get, the more I realize the moments people ache to remember are usually the ones between the planned shots.

The interruptions.
The movement.
The chaos.
The exhaustion.
The wrinkled blankets.
The in-between.

Because that’s what real life felt like.
Because that is what real life is.
And maybe that’s why my work has been shifting.
I used to feel like I needed to create perfection to create something beautiful. Now I believe beauty already exists in the honest moments we often overlook.

Nothing about this session was curated.
It was interrupted, unpredictable, emotional, loud, tender, and real.

And honestly… I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Maybe that’s what motherhood teaches us too.
That love rarely arrives perfectly packaged… but somehow still becomes the most beautiful thing we’ve ever seen.

Sedona time is SOO close ( insert angels sounding the 🎺🎺🎺 ) and this means INK. All the Ink. Probably some skinks. But mostly just ink. 🙃

Journal Ink. ✍🏻
Tattoo Ink. ©️
Soul Ink. 🧘🏼‍♀️

Thinking of all this inking made me realize that there is almost always a piece of my kids in what I create…without force. And that feels like some pretty stellar alignment.Like a quiet secret kind of blessing.

These symbols areones I carry with me everywhere, strategically placed with four humans in mind always but also ... who doesn't actually want to create their own reality? 🫠

Art.
There’s no perfect.There’s no wrong.
Just space to be.And the freedom to create.
It's great. A 10 on a scale of 1 to 8. 🤟🏻✌🏻
