It was her second session, and she was even more excited this time around.

Nerves happened with the first. It was the entire “trust the process” and “I hope I love my photos” and with the second it’s the “let’s add on wall art in advance and an extra bonus set” energy.

This momma has been through it. The loss of a partner, raising children, balancing work and life, while still trying to have some kind of social life. Most days are hard, but she deserves soft moments too.

She booked only a few weeks ago and we squeezed her in as soon as possible!
Terrible breakups, wild relationships, working in a male dominated field, moving cross country, the craziest stories... this was 100% for her.
She brought some bodyscape inspiration from Pinterest, and we used those to create some amazing Black and White art that will be hung on a gallery in her home!
She works hard for her figure and it was time to show it off... and if anyone gets to see the more revealing images... well they are pretty dang lucky.

This babe booked into a model call spot a few months ago when we were looking for ladies to help with some new poses, and we has a blast today!
She is a momma to two sweet kiddos, and never does anything for herself. As a stay at home mother, there is always spots, doctor's appointments, laundry, meal prep, cleaning, errands, school drop off and pickup, taking care of the dog... but you're a person that needs to be taken care of too.
She needed today. She needed to see herself differently. She needed to be the one not making all of the decisions and to just be present in the moment... and she rocked it!
We had some much fun trying new things, playing with the robes and the body jewelry, and I can't wait for her to come back again.
Oh, and her husband? He is going to be sooooo surprised.

When do you think is the best time for you to book your session?

We need to talk about something very important, and it's how I don't alter your body in the photos.
Almost all women are nervous to book their sessions. In fact, I can probably count on one hand the number of women that were 100% confident with themselves walking into the studio.
Most women are nervous and concerned if they're actually going to love their images, because they don't feel beautiful on a day to ay basis, and they want to feel desirable.
When I tell you that this is the only type of photography that I do, I mean it. I'm not a wedding photographer or a family photographer.
Everything that we do in the studio to make you say "Shut up, that's not me!" is done with:
well fitting outfits
expert posing
proper lighting
You can see in this image this is a babe that came in for a session after losing a considerable amount of weight. YOU GO GIRL! That's freaking amazing! But, naturally, she was concerned about her excessive and saggy skin.
The middle photo is straight out of camera. Raw. No editing. No color correcting. Nothing.
The right photo is the finished edited photo. I'm a contrasty and bold editor. You can see I changed the coloring slightly, did a light airbrush and highlighting on the skin. For faces, I'll brighten eyes and shine hair.
That's it. It's all you, babe.
I know it's hard to trust the process, but readiness isn't a feeling, it's a decision.
