🤍 A little heart-to-heart from behind the lens…

This is something I’ve been going back and forth about sharing, but I think it’s time to be honest.

Lately, I’ve been feeling burnt out. And if I’m honest, I think I’ve been pushing through it for longer than I’d like to admit.

Blue Raven Photography is something I pour so much of my heart into. From the early mornings and long days to the late-night editing, I genuinely love capturing the beautiful connections between people and their horses, and the personalities of their four-legged companions.

But somewhere along the way, between trying to keep everything moving and showing up for everyone, I’ve forgotten to give myself some of that same care.

When you run your own business, it’s easy to feel like you can’t stop. There’s always another image to edit, another message to answer, another thing to do. And because you love what you do, you convince yourself you can keep pushing a little longer.

But I’m learning that I can love this business with my whole heart and still need a break.

So, in November, I’ll be taking two weeks off to rest, recharge and give myself some much-needed time to breathe. 🤍

For anyone who already has an event booked with me in November, please don’t worry — all existing bookings will go ahead as planned! 🖤

I want to come back feeling refreshed, inspired and ready to create again. And I know that means looking after the person behind the camera, too.

To everyone who has supported Blue Raven Photography, trusted me with your animals and allowed me to capture little pieces of your world, thank you. You mean more to me than you know. 🖤

And if you’re someone who’s been running on empty, too, please remember that you don’t have to reach breaking point to deserve a rest.

The camera can rest for a little while, and so can I. 💕

Next Generation photographers need encouraging too, William and I ain't doing this forever.. the lure of other equestrian sports and spending Sundays documenting quiet legends/Other Stuff is strong for me.
Blue Raven Photography (Charleville Agricultural Show) and Claire Nolan Photography (Newcastle West Show) are partners in crime, lighthearted jinks, yarns and the 'Never give your work away' advice for the next three days. 😈
