Eli, Class of 2027, Baraboo

Eli came into his senior session with a few ideas, and we pretty much took it from there. A little time on the family property, some trap shooting, and of course, we had to get his truck involved!

We started out on the family’s land, wandering around some old barns and a creek before heading over to the North Freedom Trap Club for a few photos showcasing one of his favorite hobbies. We even found some pretty cool rock formations nearby that made for a great change of scenery.

From there, we went looking for a dirt road. Because when your truck is your pride and joy, you can’t exactly have senior pictures without it. 😂

We found a good spot for some classic backroad portraits and truck photos, and I’d say it worked out pretty well!

Eli is definitely someone who likes to stay busy. Between trap shooting, fishing, hunting, golf, and working, I’m not sure when he finds time to relax. He’s currently doing a youth apprenticeship with Weber Enterprise, mowing lawns, and bundling firewood on the side.

Apparently, he just picked up golfing this summer, too. You know, in case he wasn’t busy enough already. 😆

After graduation, he’s considering heading into the trades, possibly HVAC, which sounds like a pretty good fit for someone who isn’t afraid of a little hard work.

Eli, thanks for a fun, laid-back session and for showing me around a few of your favorite places. From the barns and creek to the trap club and backroads, I think we managed to fit quite a bit into one afternoon.

Zander, Class of 2027, Wisconsin Dells

Zander’s senior session was all about keeping things relaxed, having some laughs, and mixing in a little bit of everything.

We started at the Wisconsin Dells football and baseball fields for some casual sports photos. Nothing too dramatic, just a chance to showcase two sports that have been a big part of his high school years.

From there, we headed downtown Wisconsin Dells for some classic senior portraits. And as usual, we found ourselves hanging out in the alleys, where some of the best photo spots are hiding and, more importantly, away from all the tourists. 😂

We finished up at one of my favorite spots along the Wisconsin River for some nature shots and a completely different look.

Zander can be a little shy at first, but between the jokes and storytelling, it didn’t take long for things to loosen up. We spent just as much time talking and laughing as we did taking pictures, which is pretty much how I like these sessions to go.

Outside of football and baseball, Zander enjoys gaming and does well in school. After graduation, he’s planning to attend college to study criminal justice with the goal of becoming a police officer, following in his father’s footsteps. Pretty cool if you ask me!
And according to his family, he has a habit of sticking his tongue out when he’s concentrating really hard. Thankfully, I think we managed to get through senior pictures without too many of those. 😂

Zander, thanks for a fun afternoon, the laughs, and for trusting me to show you a few of my favorite spots around the Dells.

Cooper, Class Of 2027, Baraboo

Cooper wanted to keep his senior session pretty chill. He’s into sports, but wasn’t looking for the dramatic sports portraits. Just some relaxed photos that showed off his hobbies and the things he enjoys.

So that’s exactly what we did!

We started at the country club for some golf photos before heading downtown Baraboo for a few classic senior portraits. From there, we made our way out to his family’s property, where the fall colors were starting to show off a little. We wandered around, took advantage of the scenery, and finished things up with some archery photos.

Cooper is definitely an outdoors kind of guy. Between golf, hunting, wake surfing, snowmobiling, and playing guitar, I’d say he’s got plenty of ways to keep himself busy.

And apparently he’s successfully hunted both mountain lion and black bear.

Meanwhile, I’m just happy when I find my keys in the morning. 😂

After graduation, Cooper plans to head off to college to study engineering, although he’s still deciding where.

One thing I always enjoy about these sessions is getting to incorporate the things seniors actually love without making everything feel like a big production. Sometimes a golf course, a little downtown wandering, and an afternoon at home are all you need.

Cooper, thanks for a fun, laid-back session and for showing me around the property. I think we managed to get a little bit of everything in without making things too complicated.
