Marie Elaine, MD, joined the radiology team at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) in September 2026, bringing her expertise and subspecialty interest in breast imaging, women's imaging, and public health.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we asked Dr. Elaine about her background, breast health, and importance of regular screening.

“Screening mammography is the only screening test scientifically proven to reduce a woman’s risk of dying from breast cancer,” says Dr. Elaine. “For women at average risk, beginning annual screening mammograms at age 40 provides the greatest benefit from this life-saving test.”

Amazing shots of a magical place with arguably the best views of Bennington. Still one of my favorite places for portraits. Hopefully the new developers will start upkeep soon, it would be a shame for it to decay.

Please help us welcome Karoline Sieracki Rede, MD to the Deerfield Valley Health Center in Wilmington.

Dr. Sieracki Rede joined the Deerfield Valley practice this summer, bringing 15 years of experience in direct patient care. Dr. Sieracki Rede is board-certified in Internal Medicine and has extensive experience in primary care, with particular interests in preventive care, metabolic health, weight management, and chronic disease management.

She began practicing medicine in Brazil in 2011 after earning her medical degree from the Universidade Federal do Parana. She later moved to the United States, where she completed her Internal Medicine residency through Tufts University School of Medicine. She practiced primary care in Massachusetts before joining Deerfield Valley Health Center.

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Sieracki Rede and to share that Deerfield Valley Health Center will be accepting new patients in 2027.

Sliding into summer mode, I wanted to capture the riotous fireflies in our backyard as June comes to an end, and with it these little bugs will start to fade as they find a mate and disappear till next June. Probably not the best night to do this with either the Strawberry moon cresting the mountain but thought it's now or never. R6MK2, F16, 30sec, ISO 16000.
