BREAKING: Could passenger rail service finally be coming to downtown Wilkes-Barre? A sign near Market Square announces that Reading & Northern Railroad has purchased property for a future Wilkes-Barre Regional Railroad Station, potentially bringing passenger train trips to destinations like Jim Thorpe.

No construction timeline or opening date has been announced. What do you think? Is this a good idea, and do you actually believe it will happen?
