? I am drawn to the Southwest and love the desert landscape where I live now.

Photography is an expression of the feelings evoked within as I explore the world around me. Connecting with nature through wildlife and amazing landscapes is exhilarating and inspiring, often taking my breath away. Making photographs is something I dream about continually to the vexation of my family. My mother, always with a camera in hand to record her own journey, is an inspiration to me. I wa

s raised in Minnesota where my family continues to live and I visit frequently. My images are made in these places as well as travel to other areas of the United States and to other countries. I have different artistry series such as the abstract art utilizing Topaz. Some of the images from the abstract series are the same images I have posted using only Lightroom. I call this "Wait For It." A colony of great egrets perches on a tangled lattice of fallen branches, one bird descending with wings spread while others tend nests where pale chicks huddle beneath sheltering wings.
