As we walked along some of their favorite trails for their Maine engagement session, Ramune and Carlos shared their love story with me. I am heartbroken that these film photos I took at a protest in January are still relevant. I don’t have the right words to talk about these tragedies occurring in my community, and in my country, but know that I am grieving, I am angry, and I am fighting for a nation where this does not happen. My heart is with everyone whose lives have been horribly affected by the treatment of immigrants, especially immigrants of color, in this nation.
