Reunion energy, but make it real housepets 🐾✨

Round of applause for Kenai 👏 who absolutely dominated our Facebook challenge and pulled in 50 bonus votes for the effort. That's the kind of social game we love to see.

Nala and Tikka were right there, running strong as our top challenge finishers. Don't think we didn't notice 👀

But the season's not over, ladies and gentlemen (and dogs, and cats). More prizes 🎁, more pop challenges, all leading up to the finale on August 3rd.

Meet Ry.
This guy has lived in Colorado his whole life, and he loves it here... though when we couldn't find any snow for his session in June, he made the most of rolling around in the grass at City Park instead. Zoomies either way.
He came home at 8 weeks old, just in time for Thanksgiving, and figured out the important stuff right away. Turkey is amazing. Belly rubs are essential. A warm lap is heaven.
He thought about becoming a therapy dog but gets way too excited about people for that job. His rule is simple... if you make eye contact with him, you clearly want to pet him. That's just how it works.
He lives in Centennial with his humans (he'll tell you he's the boss, not the only child), and stays busy with training, obstacle courses, nose work, tag, and hide and seek. His best buddy is a toy named Lamby VI. There have been Lambys I through V. RIP.
Ry also raised $715 to help feed Colorado pets in need, and he's featured in the 2027 Colorado Pet Pantry calendar.
His motto: if you see him, you pet him. If you don't see him, he'll fix that.

Lake Days & River Days: Water Safety for Pets

Spokane summers basically demand a trip to the water; Spokane River, Liberty Lake, Coeur d'Alene. Here's how to keep it safe for your pup. 🌊🐕

✅ Not all dogs are natural swimmers introduce water slowly, especially for short-legged or brachycephalic breeds
✅ Rinse your dog after swimming lake water can carry bacteria and algae
✅ Watch for blue-green algae blooms, which can be toxic avoid water with visible scum or discoloration
✅ Bring fresh drinking water lake/river water can cause stomach upset
✅ A canine life jacket is a smart investment for boating or strong currents
✅ Rinse and dry ears after swimming to help prevent ear infections

Liberty Lake has a dog-friendly beach area that's popular for a reason just remember sunscreen (for you), water (for them), and a good rinse-off plan for the ride home. 🐾
