this little face, caught in a five-second window of calm.

this session had six kids in the house… six! and somehow, in the middle of all that beautiful chaos, this little guy just conked out. furrowed brow and all, like even sleeping through it takes concentration.

that’s kind of the whole point of in-home sessions, honestly. it’s not about a quiet, curated moment. it’s about capturing real life, however loud or messy it actually is. big families, tiny newborns, everyone just doing their thing while i quietly work in the background.

The ‘I don’t pose, I just capture moments’ thing sounds beautiful, and honestly it’s mostly true. But I’d be lying if I said I just show up and hope for the best.

I direct you. I tell you where to stand, what to do with your hands, how to hold your kid. And the reason your photos end up feeling natural and real is because of that direction, not in spite of it.

You don’t have to know what to do in front of a camera. That’s my job.
