Join Sony and Stewart’s Photo for three days of photography, learning, and adventure as we capture two of Alaska’s most exciting winter traditions: Fur Rendezvous and the Iditarod!

Friday, March 5 — Photography Presentation & Preparation
Kick off the weekend with an evening presentation featuring Sony representatives Dan Hawk and Sarah Regnier, along with Lester Tsai. Learn practical tips for camera settings, gear selection, action photography, and challenging lighting conditions.

Saturday, March 6 — Fur Rondy & Anchorage Photo Walk
Explore Anchorage and photograph some of the weekend’s exciting events, including:

Iditarod Ceremonial Start
Alaska State Snow Sculpture Competition
Alaskan Trapper’s Association Fur Auction
Running of the Reindeer
Blanket Toss
Choose which events interest you most and practice capturing fast-moving subjects, candid moments, and the people and traditions that make Alaska unique. Event times and availability are subject to change.

Sunday, March 7 — Iditarod Restart in Willow
Travel approximately 1½ hours from Anchorage to photograph the official Iditarod Restart. Capture mushers and their sled dog teams as they begin their journey toward Nome, with opportunities to practice action and sports photography in a spectacular Alaskan winter setting.

📷 ALL CAMERA BRANDS WELCOME! You don’t need Sony equipment to participate. Sony lenses will be available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis for registered participants.

Whether you want to improve your action photography, try new equipment, or capture Alaska’s winter spirit, this workshop offers a fantastic opportunity to learn, explore, and create memorable images alongside fellow photographers.
