RocknRoars Photography Wildlife and nature photographer and Certified Safari Guide. Join me in South Africa! https://simplebooklet.com/rnrsafari

Certified Safari Guide for South Africa with my Level I Field Guide from FGASA and a Level III tracks & signs holder, I am also a devout wildlife photographer. With the Rocky Mountains as my backdrop at home, and the call of the wild and roars of the big cats of Africa as my inspiration and driving force, thus Rock n Roars became my soul food. I know so many people look for not only companions to

follow their dreams of safari, but also what really matters to a photographer. Having extensive experience staying a vast range of properties, I developed a unique itinerary that not only satisfies the hunger for the Big 5 iconic African experience, but also enables someone to check another apex predator off their bucket list without the need to travel to Asia. Big Cat conservation is of the upmost importance to me, and with Cheetah as my spirit animal, the opportunity to walk with them and photograph them on foot is just one more reason why this itinerary will have any cat lover and wildlife photographer doing backflips! If you want to experience big cats, iconic wildlife and endangered species, and do so without the massive uncharges - look no further. With only 1-2 trips like this per year, don't wait too long!

I finally gave in and replaced my 200 to 600 with a 300 mm lens. What better for it to lose its photographic virginity then with the beautiful great grey owls of Alberta? Now we’re primed and ready for another adventure in Africa in less than a month time. And with everything that’s going on at Zimanga these days, it is going to prove to be unlike any other.

Mother cheetah and her cubs told such a story with their playful natures and affections for each other. I hope these images can share even a glimpse of the overwhelming beauty we shared that day.

Obsessed again with more baby cheetah! There’s nothing better than that! On my last hosted safari with an amazing group of photographers, we had the pleasure of visiting Kishindo where young cheetah were one of the main highlights! Having photographed the young mother as a cub, to now watch her raising these fluff balls, is such a pleasure. Being able to experience generations of my favourite species is one of the reasons I love this location. Not many places allow you these opportunities and encounters so up close and personal. Next visit in May will bring a more grown group of youngsters finding their way into sub adulthood.
